A fatal car accident claimed the life of a young Findlay woman last week when she was thrown from the vehicle in which she was a passenger.
A little after midnight, the car the victim was riding in crossed a Mortimer railroad track, spun and hit a telephone pole. The car then became airborne and came to rest on the passenger side.
The driver of the car was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, where he was in fair condition yesterday, a hospital spokesman said.
Another passenger was taken to Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center and later flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. He was in fair condition yesterday afternoon, a hospital spokesman said.
The cause of the accident was still under investigation, but authorities said none of the car’s occupants were wearing a seatbelt.
